CAN YOU RECOGNIZE A GOOD QUALITY CHILDREN'S SHOE?

DO NOT SETTLE FOR CHEAP...IT MAY COST YOU!
The best gift you can give your child is a pair of well-fitting, good-quality shoes - and healthy feet to boot. We walk on the same two feet all our lives!

GOOD MATERIALS
All of our shoes are made of pure leather, including the inner lining! Due to this both the shoe and the growing foot inside it are able to breathe. In winter shoes the best material for lining is wool fur which not only gives warmth, but also allows the foot to breathe. Because wool fibers are curly and bind air to themselves they have this excellent insulating property. Winter shoes must never be crammed full of socks because they can not give warmth if the little toes have no room to move.

BE SENSIBLE WITH SHOE PURCHASES!
A proper shoe retailer measures your child's foot and considers the shape and special characteristics it may have. The feet of small children grow very fast: children of under two years of age should have their feet measured every three months. After that a measurement at the change of each season is satisfactory. Shoe sizes vary from one manufacturer to another; the measurements must be made with the measuring device of the manufacturer in question.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
There should not be too much room for growth in a shoe: the child's foot will slide forward in the shoe in which case the support intended for the arch of the foot will be out of place. An additional 1,5 centimeters is suitable and leaves enough space for both growth and movement in the shoe. When choosing winter shoes it is important to remember to use a wool sock or woollen insole.

LITTLE CHUBBY FEET
Infants usually have "cushions" of fatty tissue on their feet which disappear as they grow. A good shoe should not be too tight, therefore we have shoes of all sizes, breadths, and fittings in our collections.

CARING FOR YOUR SHOES
The use of treatment sprays, and greasing and shining your shoes lengthen their wear and increase their comfort! Ruskovilla's woollen insoles or a good pair of old-fashioned wool socks give extra warmth. A clean sock and insole are most effective for insulation.

We do not sell shoes by mail, but you are welcome to our shop to try on shoes with the guidance of our expert salesperson.

BABY'S FIRST SHOES

All of our shoes are made of pure leather, including the inner lining! This allows for the shoe to breathe, so the little feet will not sweat even indoors.

It is best to bring shoes into use when the child begins to rise to his feet.

We recommend that you bring your child into our shop for a fitting.

We have a wide variety of beautiful baby shoes in our collections. Welcome!
